23 yr old Man & 28 yr old Woman Arrested after RCMP find Meth in Vehicle
On July 2nd, 2016 a constable of the Bonnyville RCMP observed a vehicle with a license plate that did not match the vehicle it was on. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle, however prior to that a 23 year old male that is known to the police got out of the vehicle.
While speaking with the 28 year old female driver of the vehicle, the officer observed methamphetamine in the center console and arrested the female for possession of a controlled substance. Further search of the vehicle resulted in the officer locating several financial documents that did not belong to the driver. Investigation determined that the female was committing fraud pertaining to the financial documents.
The female was later released on court compelling documents to appear in court on August 2nd, 2016 in Bonnyville Provincial Court for 7 charges of Identity Theft, Failing to Comply with Conditions, and two charges under the traffic safety act. The male was located by police and while in custody admitted to possession of the methamphetamine that was found in the vehicle.
The male was released on court compelling documents to appear on the same day in Bonnyville for charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Failing to Comply with Conditions.
The identities of the suspects have not been released by the RCMP at this time.
