17 yr old Female Arrested for Stabbing Boyfriend

On July 3rd, 2016 at approximately 2:00 AM, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a 911 call for service from a male stating that he had been stabbed by his girlfriend.  Police attended the residence in Kehewin, AB and located a 19 year old male with stab wounds to his leg and foot.  Through investigation it was learned that the males 17 year old girlfriend stabbed him with scissors.  The female was unable to be located until the following day.

The female was arrested and released on court compelling documents, with conditions to protect the victim, to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court for charges of assault with a weapon, assault and mischief under $5000.00. The name of the female arrested has not been released due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
