What’s New at the Bonnyville Library

Summer Reading Program

Registration is now open for the Bonnyville Municipal Library’s Summer Reading Program.  There will be stories, games, crafts and activities around the theme of WILD! It runs Monday to Friday mornings from 9:30–12 for 1 week sessions. The fun starts July 4th for 7 weeks and ends August 19th. Open for Grades 1-6. Get outside and go outrageous with reading this summer. Keep track of how much you read throughout the summer and win prizes every week and grand prizes will be awarded at the end of the program.  Come register now for this FREE and amazing program at the Bonnyville Municipal Library.  Hope to see you there!

 

Teen and Adult Book Bingo!

Come into the library to pick up your book bingo! Separate sheets for teens (13-18) and adults (18+). Read one book per square, only one square per book. Each completed book bingo gets you a ballot in for a Chapters/Indigo Gift Card with draws on Friday, July 29^th, and Monday, August 29^th. More information available at the library, or on your book bingo sheet.

 

LEGO Storytime

Tuesday, July 12^th  & August 2^nd, 16^th

2-3 pm for Grades 1-6

Join us for an hour of LEGO fun! We’ll read a story and in groups make LEGO creations inspired by the story. LEGO will be displayed and prizes given out! FREE Drop-In

 

Sprinkles the Clown

Everyone is welcome to come to our FREE Northern Lights Summer Reading Program Entertainer, Sprinkles the Clown! Magic, balloon animals and even ventriloquism!

 

Choose Your Own Adventure

Thursday, July 21^st 2-3 pm for Grades 5+

We’ll read a Choose Your Own Adventure Story together, then go on a CYOA scavenger hunt, ending with a chance to write your own CYOA story! Please Pre-Register for this FREE event with the Library.

 

Paper Airplane Fly-Off

Thursday, August 4^th 2-3pm All Ages, parents and caregivers welcome

We’ll break up into groups and work on crafting and designing your own paper airplane, bring you own design or use our available templates. Weather dependent we’ll see what one flies the furthest outside! FREE Drop-In

 

Hour of Code Event!

Thursday, August 11^th 2-3pm Grades 5+

Code together at your own pace.  We’ll work through a suggested online coding tutorial to create a game or animation. Receive a certificate for attending. Please pre-register for this FREE event with the Library.
