Two Single Vehicle Rollovers Near St. Paul Friday
On Friday June 10th around 3:30 pm, The St. Paul RCMP and first responders were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Range Road 93 near Township Road 574.
A southbound pickup truck carrying three youths lost control, drove off the gravel road surface, and rolled several times onto its roof.
The driver and front passenger were able to exit the vehicle and call for help, while St. Paul Fire and Rescue extracted a female youth who was pinned inside. All three occupants were taken to the St. Paul hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 17 year old driver of the vehicle was charged with driving carelessly under the provincial Traffic Safety Act.
Several hours later around 9:00 pm, Emergency crews responded to a second vehicle rollover on Highway 881 near Township road 560.
The lone occupant of a southbound SUV was ejected from the vehicle as it lost control and rolled several times into a nearby farm field.
A 19 year old St. Paul woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
With summertime activities in full swing, the St. Paul RCMP would like to remind all motorists, regardless of age or experience, to take extra caution on the roadways to ensure these are safe and enjoyable months.
