MD Stolen Trail Groomer Recovered

The Municipal District of Bonnyville reported their Muriel Lake trail groomer stolen on March 29th, 2016. Nearly two months later, it has been recovered, reports Director of Community Services, Chris McCord.

The groomer, used to clear and enhance the trails along Muriel Lake for cross-country skiing and winter hiking was recovered along the shores of the lake, explains McCord. “It was found on the beaches of Muriel Lake.” McCord call the discovery a “very nice find.”

Recovering the piece of equipment was greatly beneficial to the MD’s pocket books, cost of replacement would have been $4,000. There will be some repairs needed before next season, which come at a cost of $140.
