MD Gets Summer Ready at Crane Lake

The Municipal District (MD) of Bonnyville has made some enhancements to Crane Lake and are ready for the summer beach-goers, fishers, and recreational enthusiasts.

“We’re doing some work out at Crane Lake,”  confirms Director of Community Services, Chris McCord, “they have installed six hitching posts to replace the boat tie-ups that happened on the guard rail [last year].” The MD is enhancing other areas of Crane; including grooming the beach area and installing a natural playground at Crane Lake West. “It’s going to be basically, different level stumps, walking trails; we’re keeping it very natural.” The park will be low-cost and something that can be expanded on as the years go on.  “The tanks have been installed for the fish cleaning stands, both east and west,” McCord says these stations are new to the lake and will be very welcomed by the fishers.
