St. Paul RCMP Recover Large Number of Stolen Recreational Vehicles

A report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lac Bellevue led the St. Paul RCMP into an investigation which resulted in a search warrant of a nearby rural property. Approximately 32 stolen ATVs, side by sides, snowmobiles, and seadoos were recovered and towed. The lone male suspect was not present at the property, but was arrested three days later without incident in a neighbouring town. 22 active RCMP investigations from across Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan have been linked to the seizures so far.

Tyler Joseph Thom (23) of Edmonton area, currently faces 34 criminal charges including possession of stolen property over $5000, Altering / Removing a Vehicle Identification Number, Possession of property obtained by crime, and uttering forged documents.

Thom was released by a Justice of the Peace to appear on June 9th in St. Paul Provincial court.
