Two Vehicle Collision on HWY 28 & 50th Ave Cold Lake
On April 18th at 12:20 pm, Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 28 and 50th avenue. EMS and Cold Lake Fire Rescue were on scene when police arrived. There were no injuries; however, one vehicle was reported undriveable.
Police believe that the vehicle traveling on Highway 28 northbound ran a red light and T-boned the vehicle, that had the right of way, that was crossing the intersection on 50th avenue. The vehicle that was hit was the one that was undrivable following the incident.
A 64 year old male, from Cold Lake, was charged with three offenses; including, failing to stop at a red light, failing to provide a peace officer with a certificate of registration and failing to provide a peace officer with a financial responsibility card. All three charges carry voluntary payment options.
