On April 13th, 2016 at approximately 10:00 AM, a Constable with the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment was on patrol in the town of Bonnyville when they observed a vehicle driving without a licence plate. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle and police checks on the vehicle showed that the vehicle was reported stolen on April 8th, 2016.
The driver, a 29 year old male resident of Bonnyville, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and Failing to Comply with Conditions. The vehicle was seized and towed to be turned over to the registered owner.
The male was released on court compelling documents with conditions to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on June 7th, 2016 for both criminal charges along with a charge of Driving without Insurance under the Traffic Safety Act.
