On March 24th, 2016 at approximately 9:00 a.m., St Paul RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 28 near Secondary Highway 866.
Investigation revealed that a car was travelling westbound on Highway 28 when it began passing a transport truck. It is believed the car collided head-on with an on-coming pick-up truck. The driver of the car was extracted from the vehicle by Fire and EMS.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries; the passenger of the car was also transported to hospital. The occupants of the pick-up truck are not believed to have been injured. Traffic on Highway 28 was diverted for approximately three hours while RCMP investigated the collision.
