Fire Crews Respond to Apartment Fire in Lac La Biche

On March 12, 2016 at approximately 12:30am, the Lac La Biche Fire Department, Lac La Biche RCMP and EMS were dispatched to a structure fire within the Town of Lac La Biche. Upon arrival of first responders, a 24 unit, 3-storey apartment building was partially engulfed in flames.

The Fire Department worked quickly to contain the fire, with surrounding buildings remaining undamaged.  Occupants of the apartment building were evacuated and accounted for with no injuries reported.  There is no damage estimate available at this time.

The Provincial Fire Inspector has been contacted and the fire remains under investigation, however preliminary information indicates the fire is non-suspicious.
