Drugs Seized & Charges Laid After Search Warrant

On February 18, 2016, Cold Lake RCMP executed a search warrant on a motel room in the City of Cold Lake and seized a quantity of cocaine, evidence of drug trafficking, as well as a large amount of Canadian currency.  Boutros Abdiaziz Mohamed, 23 years old of Edmonton, was arrested and faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, as well as two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance stemming from an outstanding charge of 2nd Degree Murder.

Boutros Mohamed was released following a bail hearing on a recognizance with conditions and $8,000.00 cash bail.  Boutros Mohamed next appears at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
