Cold Lake RCMP Briefs
From January 6-8th, the Cold Lake RCMP had quite a few incidents involving alcohol. Over the three day period five people were arrested for alcohol related infractions.
January 6th, RCMP received a complaint regarding a group of intoxicated individuals at the Business Communications Building, on 50th avenue, (same building as Tri-Town Registries). RCMP attended and located a grossly intoxicated female. The 40 year old female, from Kehewin, was arrested and transported to the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment.
RCMP then received a second complaint of an intoxicated male at the same located. Officers attended and located a male passed out in the lobby of the Business Communication Building. A 42 year old male, from Kehewin was arrested and transported to the Cold Lake Detachment.
Both individuals were charged, under the Gaming & Liquor Act, for being Intoxicated in Public.
On January 7th, at 1:15 pm, the Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint from the TD Bank regarding an intoxicated male being ignorant, belligerent, bothering customers, and refusing to leave. RCMP attended and located the male inside Orbiting Trends, bothering customers. A 50 year old male, from Cold Lake First Nations, was arrested and charged, under the Gaming & Liquor Act, for being Intoxicated in Public. Additionally, he was charged under the Cold Lake City Bylaw Section 12.2, for Engaging in Behaviour that Disturbs the Peace & Safety in a Public Place.
At 2:00 pm, on January 7th, RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated male, by Walmart, walking in the middle of the southward lanes of traffic. RCMP attended and arrested a 45 year old male, from Cold Lake First Nations. He was charged, under the Gaming & Liquor Act, for being Intoxicated in Public.
On January 8th, just after midnight, RCMP received a call regarding an intoxicated male yelling and kicking at the door of the apartment building on 13th street. RCMP attended and a 23 year old male, from Cold Lake, was charged with being Intoxicated in a Public Place, under the Gaming & Liquor Act.
