Cold Lake RCMP Briefs
November 27th was a busy day for the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment in dealing with alcohol infractions. There were three separate incidents of note occurred two Sundays ago:
At 2:50 pm, RCMP were dispatched to the Tri City Mall where a female was passed out. RCMP attended and found a 40 year old female from Cold Lake First Nations passed out on a bench by the Calendar Club. The female was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
An hour later, at 3:50 pm, RCMP responded to a call of a man passed out near the RIBC, in the Tri City Mall area, on 63rd avenue. RCMP responded and found a 42 year old Kehewin man using the curb as a pillow, with his body on the road. The male was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
And the last incident involving alcohol came at 6:30 pm, a 37 year old male from Bonnyville attended the Cold Lake Detachment in order to serve an intermittent sentence. The male showed up to the detachment under the influence of alcohol, which was in violation of conditions of the probation order he was under. Charges are pending against the male for failing to compile with his probation; in which one of the conditions was to abstain from the use of drugs and alcohol completely.
