Police Seize 2 Lbs of Marihuana in Cold Lake First Nations, Two Charged

On November 19, 2015, Cold Lake RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act on a Cold Lake First Nations’ residence.  In excess of 2 pounds of Cannabis Marihuana and a significant amount of currency was seized, along with other evidence of drug trafficking.

42 year-old Kelsey James Jacko and 32 year-old Tina Lynn Scanie, both of Cold Lake First Nations, are charged with Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking as well as Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00.  Both Kelsey Jacko and Tina Scanie have since been released from custody on conditions and will next appear at Cold Lake Provincial Court on January 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
