After a lengthy investigation, Cold Lake RCMP have charged 25 year-old Michael Cespedes of Toronto, Ontario, in relation to a shooting that occurred at a motel in Cold Lake on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Michael Cespedes was arrested in Toronto, Ontario, by Toronto Police Service on a Warrant that had been issued for his arrest.  Michael Cespedes is facing charges of Aggravated Assault, Assault With a Weapon, Discharging a Firearm With Intent, Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, Unauthorized Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Breach of Probation and Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited.

Michael Cespedes was transported back to Alberta from Toronto, Ontario, and remains in custody pending his next court appearance via CCTV at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 10:00 am.
