RCMP Crackdown on Speeding, Seatbelts & Distracted Driving

On October 16th and 22nd the Cold Lake RCMP held Joint Forces Operations (JFO) with the goal to bring awareness and help eliminate speed, seatbelt, and distracted driving violations.

On the 22nd, The Cold Lake RCMP partnered with Cold Lake and Municipal District of Bonnyville Peace Officers to enforce Baywood Road near Township 630, Highway 55 near Cherry Grove, and 16th avenue in Cold Lake. Between 12:00 pm and 3:30 pm 18 violation tickets were issued for speeding, and seatbelts. There were no distracted driving violations during the JFO.

On the 16th, The Cold Lake RCMP partnered with Cold Lake Peace Officers and the St. Paul Traffic Division to enforce near Assumption Jr/Sr High in Cold Lake. Between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm 37 violation tickets were issued for speeding, seatbelts, and distracted driving.
