Stunting complaints on the rise on Lakeshore Drive

RCMP is reminding motorists of the penalties for stunting and noise after increased complaints.

Bonnyville police have seen growing calls about noisy and stunting vehicles in the area of Lakeshore Drive and 52 Street.

They vary from loud mufflers, speeding vehicles, and stunting vehicles, police say. Members have been patrolling the area, and several violation tickets have been issued.

The Bonnyville RCMP would like to remind motorists that while these offences are provincial, they can be extremely disturbing and frustrating for nearby residents.

Fines for these offences are as follows:

  • Stunting = $567
  • Create Unnecessary Noise from a Motor Vehicle = $162
  • Speeding = Anywhere from $81 – $495
