Bonnyville home invasion attacker uses axe

A female in the Town of Bonnyville with meth in her possession committed a home invasion recently using an axe as a weapon.

On February 26, at 9:00 p.m. Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a home invasion that had just occurred.

The Mounties attended the victim’s residence and determined a 39-year-old female from Bonnyville who is well-known to police was the suspect.

The alleged attacker arrived at the victim’s residence with an axe, damaged her car, interior property, and threatened to kill her.

“The female was located and arrested and found to have meth on her,” Staff Sgt. Sarah Parke said. “She is charged with Breaking & Entering a Residence, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of Crystal Meth and two counts of Mischief to Property Under $5000.”

She was brought before a Justice of the Peace, released on conditions and her first court appearance date is March 22 in Bonnyville.
