Cold Lake RCMP investigate armed robbery

The Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 5, the Cold Lake RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a business located on 52 Street and Highway 28. The male suspect entered the business with what a witness believed to be a pistol and demanded money.

The suspect then left the business with a significant amount of money in a black Dodge Ram truck. No one was harmed the RCMP said.

At this time it is unclear to Lakeland Connect which business was held up.

The male suspect is described as:

  • Approximately 5’8 in height
  • Medium build
  • Wearing all black
  • Mid 40’s

The Cold Lake RCMP made extensive patrols in the area but the suspect was not located.

If you have information about this incident, please call the Cold Lake R.C.M.P. at 780-594-3302 or call your local police.  If you want to remain anonymous you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

*Correction: It is unclear to “Lakeland Connect” not the “RCMP” which business was held up. The police did not release the exact location of the business.
