Vegreville RCMP on scene of jack knifed semi tractor blocking west bound lanes of Highway 16- Update road reopened

The Vegreville RCMP and emergency services have now cleared from the scene of the jack knifed semi tractor unit blocking both west bound lanes of travel on Highway 16 at Range Road 143.

The Vegreville RCMP would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding.

Vegreville RCMP are currently on scene of a jack knifed semi tractor unit blocking both west bound lanes of travel on Highway 16 at Range Road 143, east of Vegreville.

No injuries are reported and no other vehicles are involve but the highway is blocked and traffic is being diverted.  Motorists are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes if possible.

Traffic is expected to be impacted for several hours while the investigation and clean up is completed.  No further details are available at this time.
