Fill the Pack Challenge successful in Lac La Biche County

Fill the Pack Challenge was a huge success in Lac La Biche County.
The Fill the Pack Challenge was a friendly contest between RCMP, County Peace Officers, the Lac La Biche County Fire Department, and Lac La Biche Associated Ambulance.
According to Lac La Biche County, “The goal was to get enough donated school supplies to fill 80 backpacks for local students. Whichever team had the least backpacks filled would face the water hose from a fire truck”
Although they worked diligently to gather donations, County Peace Officers ended up on the wrong end of the fire hose but all for a good cause.
“The total numbers of backpacks gathered by all teams was 70,” Lac La Biche County stated. “Boxes of additional school supplies were also presented to use as needed. Our thanks to Britton’s Independent Grocers, Value Drug Mart, IDA, Screenshot Computers, and to all participating teams for coming tougher to help our local students.”
