Bonnyville RCMP arrest man on warrant

The Mounties in Bonnyville have captured their man.

Yesterday, on July 28, with the assistance of the Police Dog Services unit from Cold Lake and St. Paul, the Elk Point Detachment, and Lakeland CRU, the Bonnyville RCMP executed an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Clayton Cardinal.

Sgt. Sarah Parke is the Detachment Commander for the Bonnyville Detachment RCMP.

“He had been on a warrant for a variety of offences including Theft, Obstruction, Breaking & Entering, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Mischief, and being Unlawfully at Large,” Sgt. Parke told Lakeland Connect. “New charges arising from yesterday’s arrest include Resisting Arrest and Failing to Comply with Conditions.”

A bail hearing was held today and he has been remanded and will appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on August 3.
