A fire ban is in effect immediately for the Town of Vermilion.
Due to the extreme heat and dry conditions, no open fires, including permitted fire pits will be allowed until 11:59 p.m. on July 10, 2021, the Town of Vermilion stated after a consultation with the Fire Chief.
“If conditions improve, the extent of the ban will be re-considered,” the Town of Vermilion stated.
