Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death

The RCMP in Lloydminster are investigating a suspicious death and need your help to assist with the investigation.

According to an RCMP news release, “On April 17, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to the 5300 block of 50 Avenue, Lloydminster for the report of a deceased male on the sidewalk.”

The RCMP Forensic Identification Section (FIS) were called in to assist with the investigation along with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU).  MCU has taken over the investigation.

RCMP MCU is asking for the publics’ assistance and would like to speak with anyone who was in the area that witnessed this occurrence or have any information that could assist police with this investigation. RCMP MCU are also requesting dashboard camera footage from anyone traveling on 50 Avenue between 51st and 57th Street on April 17, 2021 between the hours 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
