Guilbault named Superintendent and CEO of Lakeland Catholic

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Pamela Guilbault has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Schools and Chief Executive Officer for Lakeland Roman Catholic Separate School Division, effective August 1, 2021.

“We welcome Pamela to the position of Superintendent,” said Diane Bauer, Chair of the Lakeland Catholic Schools Board of Trustees in a press release.

“Ms. Guilbault was selected from a field of outstanding candidates. We believe that Pamela’s ability to build strong and positive relationships, her ability to work collaboratively, her belief in the permeation of Catholic education, and her demonstrated leadership skills will be an excellent fit for building on the current strengths of Lakeland Catholic Schools.”

Guilbault has maintained an exemplary record of more than 23 years in education as a teacher in three different divisions, and as a principal and a Deputy Superintendent with Lakeland Roman Catholic Separate School Division.

She holds a Bachelor of Education degree with distinction from the University of Alberta as well as a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland.

Guilbault is committed to leading the division in a visionary manner which cultivates a culture of collaboration within a faith-filled, safe and caring inclusive learning environment, where innovation is encouraged, resources are maximized, strengths and passions are explored, and where all are inspired to achieve to their potential enabling them to contribute to the greater good of their community.

“With Christ as the ultimate role model of and for leadership, I will bring a Christ-centered approach to my role as Superintendent,” said Guilbault.

“The scripture from Micah 6:8, to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with my God provides me with my directional focus in life. I will provide leadership and support to trustees, administrators, staff, parents, and most importantly students. I am passionate about continuous improvement and committed to creating high-quality and equitable educational opportunities. I am a servant leader who lives the Gospel.”

Guilbault is married to Rodney Guilbault and their home is filled with much joy and abundance from their family. They are parishioners at St. Louis Parish in Bonnyville where Pamela also serves on the Parish Council.

She has a variety of interests including running, reading, painting, and glass art designing mosaics and glass blowing. In the summer you will find here enjoying the beauty of the Lakeland area skimming across the lakes on her paddle board.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff, Diane Bauer welcomes Guilbault to her new position and wishes her much success and many blessings for years to come.

Current Superintendent Joe Arruda is retiring at the end of the school year.
