Cold Lake RCMP seek owners of found property

Cold Lake RCMP are searching for the rightful owners of an Advanced Vehicle Diagnostic and Information System which was found on a sidewalk.

“It’s a diagnostic computer which can be used to tell you what the specific problem is causing the check engine light to come on for example,” said Doryn Cross of RCMP Media Relations.

She said officers believe it was most likely stolen from a mechanic or a car dealership based on where it was found, but that it’s a tool which can also be ordered off the Internet.

“Regardless, it is worth a lot of money so we’d like to get it back to whoever it belongs to,” said Cross.

In order to claim the system you will need to provide the specific make, model, and serial number. For more information, or if you know whose it is call the Cold Lake RCMP detachment administration line at 780-594-3302.
