Bonnyville Health Foundation auction moves online

The Bonnyville Health Foundation’s online auction is live.

After the Board postponed the 2020 Gala (presented by B&R Eckel’s) due to COVID-19 and mass gathering restrictions, they’ve decided to bring the auction home.

The Bid for the Bonnyville Health Centre Online Auction event began on Monday and will run for two weeks.

“[It] features a great variety of items that were generously donated by so many who want to support our local hospital, staff and further the health care in our community,” the board of directors said in a press release.

“The online auction will be available to anyone who wants to join, so we anticipate a great bidding war is on the horizon.”

The proceeds from the online auction will go to the area of greatest need at the Bonnyville Health Centre such as equipment, education, and mental health wellness initiatives.

In addition to our online auction, the Bonnyville Health Foundation wants to give back to the community with a great deal on some prime rib.

Before Gala 2020 was postponed, the prime rib for the dinner had already been purchased, and they  have 15 vacuum sealed packages from a commercial grocery supplier, worth over $300 each.

Each package of prime rib will give you 20-22 nicely sized steaks for the summer BBQ season.

They are offering these packages for $250 each on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Contact Administration directly at 780-826-8265 if you’re interested.

You can register for the auction here or download the Auctria app.

Special thanks for the Gala Committee members who have worked tirelessly to build a fantastic event and then to quickly change gears to manage the fundraiser in these ‘unprecedented times’.
