Fire advisory in effect in County of St. Paul

Effective 4:00 PM, Wednesday May 6, 2020, the County of St. Paul is under a Fire Advisory. The Fire Advisory reads as follows:

  1. Safe campfires are permitted in campgrounds and in other County areas for cooking and heating purposes.
  2. The issuance of fire permits for other burning may be restricted, and the issuance of new permits is suspended.

We encourage everyone to be responsible while enjoying their outdoor fire. Never leave your fire unattended, and make sure your fire is out when you leave it.

A large field fire south of St. Paul took nine hours to put out on Tuesday, said Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich.

If you have any questions, you may direct enquiries to the County of St. Paul at 780-645-3301 or St. Paul Fire Services at 780-645-4100.
