Bonnyville’s town services continue, close Fire Halls, EMS Station to public

The Town of Bonnyville has created a Facebook to keep residents in the know during these uncertain times.

The page was created yesterday afternoon.

Wednesday morning they posted this message:

Town of Bonnyville

The health and safety of our community, residents and employees are the Town’s top priority.

The Town continues to work with the province, community partners and the community in the on-going response to COVID-19 in Bonnyville.

While the risk to residents remains low, we remain vigilant and prepared to support our community’s needs.

It is business as usual for the Town of Bonnyville. Services such as bill payment, garbage pick up and water/sewer service continue to be provided by Town Staff.

Bill payments can be made at the Town Hall during business hours (Monday-Friday from 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m.) or online through your financial institution.

Effective immediately the Bonnyville Reginal Fire Authority has closed all Fire Stations, EMS Station and the 911 Call Centre to the public.

Residents are reminded not to attend Town facilities or any public facilities if they are feeling ill.

Call Alberta HealthLink at 8-1-1 for non-emergency health information about COVID-19 and 9-1-1 only in the case of a life-threatening emergency or crime in progress.

The COVID-19 outbreak remains a fluid situation and information can change quickly and often.

The Town of Bonnyville is prepared to make additional changes to policies as required in order to keep residents safe and reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

This information is only current at the time of writing and can change quickly.
