Some Saddle Lake residents under Boil Water Advisory

Saddle Lake Cree Nation is under a Boil Water Advisory after a break on the main water line.

The Boil Water Advisory is effective immediately and only applies to Saddle Lake connections south of house #265 N/S Road.

It will remain in effect until further notice.

In a letter received two days ago, a Boil Water Advisory was issued for the Saddle Lake Public Water Supply due to the microbial contamination that may cause illness.

Those affected are asked to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to any consumption, including drinking, making baby formula or juice, brushing teeth, washing food or making ice.

This will destroy harmful microorganisms.

The water treatment plant is not affected by the advisory.

This resulted from a break on the main water line and the subsequent repairs.
