Bonnyville massage therapist charged with two counts of sexual assault

A Bonnyville massage therapist has been charged with two counts of sexual assaults stemming from an incident in March.

On March 26, Bonnyville RCMP initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual assault by a massage therapist in Bonnyville.

A victim alleged she attended a business for a massage and during the treatment she was touched in a sexual manner, Bonnyville RCMP said in a release.

While investigating police learned of a second female victim who alleged she was touched in a similar manner.

Bonnyville RCMP have charged 49-year-old Jason Traxler of Bonnyville with two counts of sexual assault.

He was released after his arrest and is set to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Sept. 3.

The Massage Therapist Association of Alberta has suspended his membership as a result of these allegations.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be released.
