Doorknocker in Bonnyville does not represent Girl Guides, RCMP say

Bonnyville RCMP is warning residents that a male going door-to-door asking for bottles does not represent the Girl Guides organization.

A concerned citizen attended the detachment on May 2 to report a man fraudulently representing himself as being associated with the Girl Guides of Canada and is asking for bottle donations on their behalf.

RCMP say the man is described as 5’11”, medium build, has scarring on his face, with dark hair.

He was seen wearing Nomex coveralls with a “Reda” crest, driving a small white car like a Neon or Sunfire.

“Please be aware that the Girl Guides in Bonnyville are not being represented by this male,” said the RCMP.
