Cold Lake RCMP and Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death of male

Police are investigating the death of a male on Cold Lake First Nations. On Jan. 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to reports of gunfire in the English Bay area of Cold Lake First Nations.

Upon arrival police located a deceased adult male inside a residence.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit with assistance from Cold Lake RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and Police Dog Services (PDS) continue to investigate. An autopsy has been scheduled this week at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.

Police are looking to speak with anyone that may have been in the English Bay area between 1:00 – 4:00 a.m., on Jan 29, 2019.

An update will be provided when more information becomes available.
