Bonnyville RCMP nab Robbery suspect after Police Pursuit

On April 3 just after 5:00 AM the Cold Lake RCMP were dispatched to a car-jacking where the suspect abandoned the vehicle he had stolen only to steal another one then headed toward Bonnyville.

Bonnyville RCMP located the suspect and initiated a police pursuit that lasted several minutes throughout the town of Bonnyville.  The pursuit involved a police spike belt and a collision between the suspect vehicle and an independent motorist.  No injuries were sustained by anyone involved.

A 23 year old male from Cold Lake First Nations was arrested and is currently awaiting a bail hearing.  He is facing multiple pending charges including Robbery, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Flight from Police, Possession of Stolen Property and Breaches.
